From South Coast NSW (Dharawal Country), The Water Runners draw on the rich storytelling traditions of folk, bluegrass, and country to create an exciting and contemporary blend of Australian music. Their performances combine engaging melodies, heartfelt lyrics, and captivating storytelling that will transport you into the world of Australian song.

Influenced by contemporary artists like Paul Kelly and The Morrisons, as well as classic bluegrass legends such as Bill Monroe, the band offers a unique sound that is both fresh and timeless. Their talents have been widely recognized: they were People’s Choice finalists in 2021, Runners Up at the 2025 Australian Folk Music Awards, and were awarded Best Band at the 2020 National Busking Championships. In 2025, they recorded their fourth album with renowned producer Syd Green (19-Twenty, Kasey Chambers), and they were recently nominated for the 2026 Bluegrass Song of the Year, awarded by The Australian Bush Balladeers Association Inc.

Enjoy two 45-minute sets of lively bluegrass-infused folk music and storytelling, and enjoy an evening of joy and entertainment. Tea and coffee will be provided.
