Christmas with the Con 2025
Presented by the Riverina Conservatorium of Music

Join us for a magical evening as the Riverina Conservatorium of Music proudly presents the fourth annual Christmas with the Con — a spectacular FREE community celebration of the festive season, set against the stunning backdrop of Wagga Wagga’s Riverside precinct stage.

This much-loved event will feature a vibrant program of classical, traditional, and contemporary Christmas music performed by the Riverina Conservatorium Orchestra, Simmons Street Big Band, Combined Concert Bands, Mass Choirs, instrumental ensembles, and featured soloists.

In a dazzling showcase of local talent, more than 220 professional and aspiring musicians will take the stage to deliver a joyful and entertaining concert for all ages. The evening will culminate in a powerful finale, featuring a specially orchestrated Christmas Medley performed by the Conservatorium Orchestra, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display over the majestic Murrumbidgee River.

To make sure everyone has the best view, two large display screens will livestream the entire concert, so you won’t miss a single note or moment — no matter where you’re seated.

There will be a variety of food and drink vendors on site, but you are also welcome to pack a picnic and enjoy the evening your way.

Adding to the festive spirit, the event will include the Light a Light of Hope tree lighting ceremony in partnership with Riverina charity Country Hope, supporting local families through this important fundraising initiative.

Christmas with the Con 2025 is a free event proudly supported by the Wagga Wagga City Council through their Major Events, Festival and Film Sponsorship program.

PLEASE NOTE: that due to the Fireworks Exclusion Zone, the river walkway entrance into the Riverside Precinct (behind St John's Anglican Church) will be closed from 7:45pm to 9:15pm on the evening of the event. During this time, no one will be allowed in this area or to walk through this section of the footpath. No exceptions.
