Composition and song writing coaching class for younger and beginner students.
Session will start students on a composition or song writing journey.

Pre-requisites:
Students may bring notated and/or recorded (phone recordings are fine) examples of composition ideas.

Please bring the following: computer laptop, portable instruments if not piano.

 

My Musical Thoughts: Composition Workshop B

For students who have composed music.
Session will explore: orchestration, score layout and conventions, articulation and dynamics, instrument ranges and qualities, substitute chords, and compositional and song writing development techniques. Suitable for HSC students in years 11 and 12.

Pre-requisites
Students must be able to read music and have been playing for at least 1-2 years.
Students are to bring notated and or recorded (phone recordings are fine) examples of composition ideas.
 
Please bring the following: computer laptop, drafts of compositions currently started, recordings or notated versions, portable instruments if not piano.
